 The London alumni group is supporting the Sanctuary Fund this year with a challenge to raise at least £1,000. This is my contribution. 

 I am making a donation to the Sanctuary Fund as part of the London Alumni campaign to raise £1,000 for "Giving Day". I am supporting this fund after being so impressed by what I heard at the event held in London in June 2025 on the fund.

 If I can help someone else benefit in the same way that I did from my time in York I will be very happy, especially if that person has been affected by turmoil elsewhere in the world through no fault of their own.

 I'm eternally grateful to York for giving me a wonderful education and a set of lifelong friends. It gives me great pleasure to do what small bit I can to help others benefit from York but whose circumstances are less advantageous than mine were. 

 It is to help students to be able to study without worrying about money.
